2. What data do we process, and why?

For contact persons at invited companies, we also process email address and phone number for communication regarding the event.
We do not process sensitive personal data (special categories under Article 9).
3. Legal basis for processing
The processing is based on legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Our legitimate interest is to organize and carry out Bergen Shipping Dinner, including administering table seating and communicating with invited companies. The processing is limited to the information necessary for this purpose, in a professional context where all guests are invited by virtue of their professional role. We consider that the processing does not override the rights and freedoms of the guests.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, see section 7.
4. Where does the data come from?
The data is not registered by you personally, but by a contact person at the inviting company via a password-protected website. The contact person is responsible for informing you that your data has been shared with us for this purpose.
5. Who has access?
- Contact persons at invited companies can view and edit the guests they have registered themselves.
- Everyone with access to the website can view the table overview with names and company affiliations for all guests.
- At the event venue, the table overview will be visible on posters.
The data is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Data processor and storage
Data processor: Alf Gundersen AS (organisation number 942 555 490), Bergen. A data processing agreement has been entered into.
Hosting: WP Engine Inc., with data storage in Finland (EU/EEA).
Storage and deletion: The personal data will be permanently deleted within 1 week after the event has taken place. The data is not used for any other purposes and is not stored for future events.
7. Your rights
Under The General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:
- Access: request information about what data we hold about you
- Rectification: request that incorrect data be corrected
- Erasure: request that your data be deleted
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Complaint: submit a complaint to Datatilsynet.no (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority) if you believe your rights have not been respected

8. Changes
